USA Dance (Kitsap Peninsula) Chapter #1025

About Us

The USA Dance Kitsap Chapter was formed in April of 2002. If you are not already a member of USA Dance, we would love to have you join us. The benefits of becoming a member include discounts for lessons and entrance into any USA Dance dance or special event, 10% off on purchases at Petticoat Junction, a subscription to American Dancer magazine, and the knowledge that you are part of a charitable organization that helps people live longer, healthier lives one dance step at a time! The $35 dues that social dancers pay to the national organization provides 160 chapters around the country with services and resources. Our local chapter does not collect any dues, we just ask our members to participate and volunteer when they can.

Our Chapter membership consists primarily of Social Dancers who enjoy dancing and the Chapter's monthly dance is one frequently attended. Dance attendance averages 40 to 55 people and about an even split in members and non-members. We welcome singles and couples with mixers during the evening so everyone gets the chance to dance. Rotating partners during dance lessons is always encouraged as well.

We hold 12 monthly dances on the 3rd Saturday of the month. A one hour dance lesson is provided before each dance starting with the basics and building on that.

We often hold our dances and Chapter sponsored lessons at the Bremerton Masonic Lodge at 878 5th Street, but we are not associated with the Masons.

Our Chapter has supported the Kitsap and Mason County Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) dance contest. As a result of our chapter's participation we gained several new members and additional nonmember attendance at our social dances along with some free advertisement.

Emails are sent to all members to keep them up to date on news and events.

Board meetings are generally held the first Sunday of the Month at 2:30pm, and is open to all members.
